"No True Feminist" Fallacy

"No true Scotsman is an informal fallacy, an ad hoc attempt to retain an unreasoned assertion.[1] When faced with a counterexample to a universal claim, rather than denying the counterexample or rejecting the original universal claim, this fallacy modifies the subject of the assertion to exclude the specific case or others like it by rhetoric, without reference to any specific objective rule."

Example:

“On the subject of feminists being misandrists whose goal is to eliminate the patriarchy and substitute it with a man-hating matriarchy;

Saying that all feminists hate men due to the actions of radical, misandrist “feminists” is the same as saying that all Muslims are terrorists based on the actions of Al-Qaeda, all white people are racist based on the actions of the KKK, or that all Christians are homophobic assholes who protest children and soldiers funerals based on the actions of the Westboro Baptist Church.

All of these are examples of incorrect assumptions based off of the actions of a small number of radical members of generally peaceful systems of belief and showcase a person’s ignorance on the subject of the beliefs themselves.

Feminism is built off of gender equality, and that alone eliminates any misandrist from being considered a true feminist, hence the quotation marks used above.”
