For something to be sexist, there has to be a double standard on the basis of sex. Different treatment for men and women, in other words.

So where are the examples of male students who can wear such things? They only exist in feminist fantasies.

MRAs have been saying this for years. WA is notorious for it's helplines, for example: I don't know if it still does, but it had two: one for women and one for men.

The one for women was to get help for being a victim from a man.

The one for men was to confess abusing a woman.

I made complaints etc - never heard anything about it.

And whenever the ABC says anything about DV, it shows that same model - based on radical feminism - called the Duluth Model - which holds that all DV (and really, everything bad) is caused by masculinity.

Whenever they want to talk about DV, they'll interview an 'expert' -self-appointed, of course - who will explain that it's all because boys read comic books and play video games instead of studying feminism and learning to hate themselves.

The government will occasionally pipe up to cry crocodile tears at the plight of DV victims (meaning women).

In fact, one of the best moments in recent history was when the NSW police force showed a picture of a DV victim - a man - and feminists went mental and demanded it be taken down. There were thousands of pictures of women and one of a man - but that was too much.

I had a nightmare about a plague outbreak at a place I was staying at. I woke to find one woman dying, and everyone else in that room sick.

They were in a room that was the only exit... there was no power, and it was dark and I couldn't see what was going on but I heard the laboured breathing of the dying woman. I felt that she was likely suffering but if I breathed near her, I would catch it too.

I ran to escape but my foot was trapped in something unseen. She didn't wake and I didn't know if I could help her, or if waking her would be cruel. I struggled to hold my breath and get out  - but a gasp ended my contest. I might be infected, I didn't know, but I couldn't go near others now.

I was outside, in the courtyard, uncertain what to do. I felt the horror of my cowardice in running from that woman - and horror that I had failed to run well enough and might join her soon.

Was there even someone to call for help? Would we be sealed up and left to our fate?

I awoke, sweating. I had overheated - it happens in these winter nights - and the air on my skin hurt, burnt like ice placed on my skin.

I tried going back to sleep - I have so much yet to do and am running out of time now - I need to rest.

But I couldn't get away from the echoes of that dilemma. It felt as real to me as this does now, that dream.

Abstract

BACKGROUND:
Studies indicate that a small percentage of rapes are reported to law enforcement officials. Research also suggests that rapes perpetrated by a stranger are more likely to be reported and that rapes involving drugs and/or alcohol are less likely to be reported. College women represent a unique and understudied population with regard to reporting rape.

METHODS:
In the current study, the authors interviewed a national sample of 2,000 college women about rape experiences in 2006.

RESULTS:
Only 11.5% of college women in the sample reported their most recent/only rape experience to authorities, with only 2.7% of rapes involving drugs and/or alcohol reported. Minority status (ie, nonwhite race) was associated with lower likelihood of reporting, whereas sustaining injuries during the rape was associated with increased likelihood of reporting.

DISCUSSION:
Reporting, particularly for rapes involving drugs and alcohol, is low among college women. Implications for policy are discussed.

The law goes into effect on July 1, 2014. The extract must be obtained in a sealed container from a laboratory that is licensed in the state where it was produced, with a label stating the extract's ingredients and origin, and transmitted by the laboratory to the Utah Department of Health. The Utah Department of Health is required to determine the details of the registration program.

As a chronic pain sufferer, I've had to go for about a decade, slowly getting worse, being signed up to trials that are aborted at the last minute. I don't trust these governments any more. They will always try to find a way out from proceeding.

I can speculate as to why. I can guess that it would hurt the bottom line for too many companies, or that religious zealots have too much influence over them, or that they are genuinely bamboozled by vested interests.

But it's just speculation. And meanwhile, all around me, I see people withering and in pain, and for no other reason than the government talking about action on this issue - but never quite doing anything.

The more I hear about this college and this young woman, the more I am sickened and terrified of attending a U.S. college. It just seems like more and more colleges and universities are kowtowing to the constraints of theoretical-idealist/liberal ideology.

First, this lady claims another student raped her. Then private messages she sent to the student very soon after she had claimed the rape occurred are exposed, showing how much she herself was pining after this student and how much she herself seemed to desire a sexual relationship. So she retracts her accusation, and both the college and law enforcement clear the student of any charges.

But she didn't stop.

For the next two years, she continued to play the victim, creating a melodrama so narcissistically over-inflated that the college, to many onlookers nationwide, has become a laughingstock.

The formerly accused student was subjected to humiliation and mass public shaming reminiscent of a witch-hunt. And the college has continued to make exceptions to their rules for this dishonest, self-absorbed lady, such as allowing her to exhibit her graphic drawings she had made of her supposed "rapist" on campus.

This narcissist is not a victim and certainly not a heroine of gender equality. She herself has victimized the male student and indirectly slapped the faces of other young men (who are made that much more demonized and under suspicion of violent/sexual crime) and of actual rape victims (who are made that much less credible in the eyes of our judicial system and the public at large). Absolutely disgusting.

It just has me worried.

Not about women, because it's not women that are the problem.

It's our culture at large, and specifically campus culture. There are manipulative, dishonest members of both genders, but what if a manipulative woman such as "mattress girl" decides to go after me in the same way?

Will my college step in and make sure she isn't given such a pedestal from which to slander me and encourage the public shaming and slander of me?

Or will they give her ridiculous leniency, allowing her handouts and exceptions from rules so that she can continue to make my life hell?

I want to trust my school, because I can't imagine its authorities not doing anything to punish a student like "mattress girl," but can I know for sure?
