Nicki Minaj: Women should negotiate wages, like men have to.

http://time.com/4300095/nicki-minaj-time-100-video/

"As she has risen to fame as a rapper, Nicki Minaj has also become an outspoken advocate for equality. "

http://static.highsnobiety.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/nicki-minaj-anaconda-music-video-1.jpg

Rubbish. Talking about how you make lots of money isn't equality. When David Bowie figured out musicians were losing out by not owning the rights to their own music, no-one applauded him as  champion of equality, or of anything but being a canny businessman.

Nicki's willingness to spread has given her enormous wealth,
and obviously that means she can give advice
to people who aren't able or willing to compete as eye-candy.

This is real female empowerment.

Do you want to fuck with her? No.

You will never accomplish as much as she did.
(source)

"The Pinkprint artist has publicly voiced her opinions on racism,
misogyny and sexuality throughout her career,
particularly speaking out in support of female empowerment."

Has she? Female empowerment? So what, precisely, has she identified as an area where females don't have power and men do? Or do you mean female supremacy, in which case she can suck me hairy balls.
Apparently she has trouble with eating bananas. And covering her tits.
So strong and empowered, wow.

"In a video interview with TIME, Minaj broaches the topic of equal pay, advising women to be direct about how much they feel they are due."

That can work. Or it can fail. You see, we all look at the men at the top, the very few who climbed Everest and think "I could do that too", and for a few that will be true, but there's an awful lot of bodies of failures you have to walk past.

Far, far more men fail than succeed. We take risks. Our skeletons line the seas. A few achieve greatness - the rest an unmarked grave.

Here we have Nicki doing sexwork
- one of the fields that Feminism wants to criminalise,
at least for the men involved.

So she's now their champion?

How does that even work?

“One thing I learned along the way in business is the necessity for you to be unapologetic about asking for how much money you deserve”

And in return, your employer can decide you are delusional and hire someone cheaper. If your estimate of your value is off, you can end up broke. Are you willing to take that chance? If so, welcome to the high stakes game!

Hope you know what to do when you fail - because most successful people have failed over and over. Being broke and starving and living in your car, cleaning up for interviews and hoping your expensive suit isn't ruined on the way to the interview because it's impossible to replace - that's life, baby!

"she says. “At a very early stage in my rap career, I was making six figures for shows"

So you were living a life almost no-one else will lead - found success through blind luck - yet people are looking to you for advice? Why?

Seriously, I don't get it. This is like asking a lottery winner what the secret to picking the winning numbers is.

My head hurt reading this article.
I think my brain cells may have committed suicide to escape the situation.

"…If I heard there was another rapper making that, I thought, ‘you know what? I get out there and demand or command a crowd. I get out there and make my fans happy. I get out there and give a real show. I want that, too.’ And I pushed myself to be better with my showmanship, but I also decided, you know what? I want to be compensated well.”

Yup. Which hundreds of other rappers did just as well. They didn't get lucky, you did. It's random. It's not divine purpose or proof of your wisdom.

or had more musical talent but didn't have the cash for the many operations. (source)

"She encourages women to own their greatness"

That's gibberish. Makes readers feel good tho' and that sells advertising. Kudos for having total contempt for your audience there.

So here's an idea. Get an accurate picture of your capabilities, don't swallow guff about being 'great' or you'll end up dying from the needle or the shotgun. Focus on being grounded, sensible, objective, yet passionate about what you do - because that is what the 'greats' did over and over.

David Bowie was a brilliant musician and businessman but he never settled for mediocrity or being safe. He always pushed the boundaries and even as a very old man was trying to see what he could do that was new. Which is why he will be remembered and whatsername won't be.

I suppose the butt implants could be classed as a capital investment?
I really don't want to see the dividends tho'!

“I would tell women starting out in business, if you know you’re great at what you do, don’t ever be ashamed to ask for the top dollar in your field”

Yup. And remember, if it goes bust, you will have a sweet deal on homeless shelters compared to men - it's pretty much prison only if they need a square meal and a roof over their heads.

  “If I’m great at what I do, I can’t be denied. "

http://images.slideplayer.com/20/5988314/slides/slide_36.jpg
http://slideplayer.com/slide/5988314/
The screams of a million great musicians, artists, sculptors and more who were forgotten in their lifetimes and most afterwards, who knew bitter hunger and the betrayal of unrecognised talent, they echo on the winds that past through her ears and out that butt.

"Some things may be overlooked but no one can deny my brand"

(*Waves hand!*) I deny it.

I don't care about you - if you weren't there, another would fill that niche. I won't mourn you. I mourned Amy Winehouse and she had only a few songs I liked - but fuck, she sung her heart out on them.

“It just feels like young women are being empowered..."

More goodfeel buzzwords. Did Gawker media take over Time.com? Why doesn't anyone ever ask what the fuck that means exactly?

Take us out, Amy!

ANZ Australia announces it will now pay men less for the same work than women

- and the Australian Gov't approves!

http://isurvived.org/Pictures_iSurvived-2/Hungarian-jews_BW.GIF
https://archive.is/UUUKD
In each case (except in New South Wales), the legislation allows “special measures” to be taken and states that such measures do not constitute unlawful discrimination.

Huh. So justice for all - except the people the commissioners don't like?

https://stevenglassman.files.wordpress.com/2014/07/auschwitz-9.jpg

In essence, ANZ considers that paying extra superannuation contributions to female employees constitutes a special measure under the relevant legislation.

Like not paying Jews an equal salary would be. Oh sorry, I mean Jewish MEN. Discriminating against them is fine. And Aboriginal MEN. And gay MEN.

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/a0/In_memory_of_homosexual.JPG

In fact, I have to wonder who is protected from discrimination under this law?

Oh right - anyone not a MAN.

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0b/Stroop_Report_-_Warsaw_Ghetto_Uprising_06b.jpg
Everyone was equal under the law in Nazi Germany, except, of course, for those for whom “special measures” applied.

ANZ also consulted with the Australian Human Rights Commission, which advised that in its view ANZ’s initiative “addressed an inequality in retirement savings between male and female employees” and was “consistent with the objects of the Sex Discrimination Act”.

Hmm. Aboriginals have less savings than white people. Should white people be paid less? Asians have more savings. Should they be paid less?

I look forward to an announcement by ANZ that Asian workers will now be docked wages because they work too damned hard.

Initially the German government passed laws to exclude Jews from civil society https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Holocaust
The Holocaust wasn't built in a day. The gas ovens were built brick by bloody brick, with little acts of discrimination masking the hatred underneath.

You can even force your victims to build the machinery of their execution, after a while.

The fact that the Australian Government approves of this galls me the most - and let's make it clear, this is occurring in a supposedly conservative government!

Being Classically Liberal analyses wage gap propaganda

Being Classically Liberal

(ML) This is the kind of lazy "research" that only helps to advance false narratives that don't stand up to closer scrutiny.

The Economic Policy Institute (a left-leaning think tank) released their analysis of a recent population survey [1] to inform us that there is still a wage gap between men and women. The implication is, of course, that women face unfair discrimination in the workplace when it comes to wages.

What the EPI conveniently didn't control for was the differing majors and career choices of women and men. In fact, when you click on the link to the piece, they admit:

"By definition, young college graduates have the same level of education—which is to say, they all have college degrees. (It should be noted that these data do not allow for differentiation between college major or college quality, whether measured in quality of education or access to career connections via alumni networks.)"

This is an important factor to so blatantly leave out.

Indeed, research has shown that woman and men have vastly different interests when it comes to career choices. [2] [3] Moreover, men are more likely to be interested and pursue careers in higher paying fields. [4] An NBER paper concluded:

"There is no gender gap in wages among men and women with similar family roles. Comparing the wage gap between women and men ages 35-43 who have never married and never had a child, we find a small observed gap in favor of women, which becomes insignificant after accounting for differences in skills and job and workplace characteristics.

This observation is an important one because it suggests that the factors underlying the gender gap in pay primarily reflect choices made by men and women given their different societal roles, rather than labor market discrimination against women due to their sex” [5]

Of course, none of this helps advance the narrative the EPI likes, so it was intentionally ignored. This kind of lazy "research" does nothing to help anyone, and should never be taken seriously.

Childcare workers to be paid as much as electricians?

On ABC- 24 TV, feminists were demanding childcare workers be paid as much as electricians.

Well

a) not many childcare workers are fried by the kiddies

b) it takes a fair bit more intelligence, quite frankly, to be an electrician.

But i expect they’ll get it because feminists have incredible political power.

So that means the cost of hiring childcare will go up - then they will demand that the gov’t subsidise them more -  which means everyone without kids is subsidising everyone with them to a ludicrous degree.

Go Team Femi-Communism!

Feminists plan to cut men’s wages

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/life/relationships/how-to-solve-the-gender-pay-gap-heres-an-idea-cut-mens-wages/article24170883/

I think we'll see this passing into law very soon, particularly if Hillary Clinton gets into power. The Feminist Initiative has said it will introduce male only taxes if it gets into power, and other Feminist political parties are sympathetic to the idea.

Combine that with reducing men's pay, and you'll have an Emma Watson style #HeForShe second class citizen coded into law.

The author completely ignores all the wage gap studies that say men earn more money by working longer and doing dangerous jobs (resulting in ten times the workplace fatalities). Feminists will still need someone to do those jobs.

How will they persuade their worker caste to continue to die for less pay, and higher taxes? How will they stop that caste from leaving the country for greener fields?

http://www.georginacranston.com/graphics/FEATURESSECTION/FeatureSLAVERYNIGER/GC215.jpg

Feminists will have to use *force*. At some point, emotional manipulation will be insufficient.

http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/05/12/article-2323286-007AD623000004B0-392_634x456.jpg

But Feminists are physically weaker than men. Wat do?

Well, exoskeletons and drones might be a leveler. Some Feminists might be persuaded to don them and put their hatred of men into a physical form.

The use of "white knights" as shock troops is no doubt a part of the HeForShe scheme, but at some point males will notice they are killing other males in the name of equality... which might make most of them start to question their servitude, and then you have armed and trained rebels on your hands!

Unless Feminists devise a remote kill switch for their White Knights, I just don't see it happening.

Another solution might be to drug males from early on.

It's suggested that that is what ADHD medication is; however, I simply have seen no proof of this. It is very interesting that such a huge proportion of boys in education have now been declared mentally ill, and requiring a sedative in order to conform.

13.2% of boys have been diagnosed with ADHD. (source)

Doesn't it seem odd that previous generations of boys were able to get through their schooling without being drugged?

Is science "Bullshit"? Feminism says yes.

Response to http://idlekind.tumblr.com/post/115846134270/you-realize-that-there-is-no-gender-pay-gap-crisis

(original text at bottom)

"Bullshit."

Oh, this is going to be good - all those economists proven wrong! This will shake the world!

"The law has loopholes for days"

What? Umm, ok, maybe a stroke was involved at that point. Nevertheless, I am sure this proof is coming soon!

"and proving workplace discrimination is not an easy task"

Yes it is, people did it all the time. HR departments were established to keep meticulous records to prove there was no favouritism - which economists have backed up. http://time.com/3222543/5-feminist-myths-that-will-not-die/

" nevertheless that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist"

I see. So the proof it exists is...

....

going to turn up some day soon?

" Furthermore"

So that proof?

Not coming then? You are just going to move on as if nothing happened? As if you'd shown it while we blinked?

That's just not going to fly.

So will you just change the topic now?

" sexism (and racism, since you mentioned that too) is entrenched into society "

Yup.

"there are clear patterns between socioeconomic status and race"

Yes, wealthy people have wealthy kids, as a rule - which is why Asians are at the top.

" So if you were fortunate enough to go to a ‘good’ school (or shall we just say school), then your odds of getting into a ‘good’ university increase tenfold."

And yet most university students are female - it used to be males, but that was considered sexist, so the situation was altered until it was males that washed out - and that was regarded as still not good enough. I have to wonder why you Feminists let men have an education at all.

the female domination of higher education prevails across all types of schools

"That then influences prospective employers reading through people’s resumes"

Which is not a proof of discrimination but that an employer wants to make money, and they hire whoever is most likely to make them money. That's not oppression, that is called Capitalism.

"In terms of gender, we again find that because of ingrained stereotypes, for example physical capability"

That's not a stereotype, that's called reality. Women have sued because they were asked to work as hard as men do for the same pay. They have smaller bodies, and less upper body strength and running abilities - because their bodies are different.

This is called sexual dimorphism. You movement seems unable to accept the reality of it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sexual_dimorphism#Humans

Males typically have larger tracheae and branching bronchi, with about 30 percent greater lung volume per body mass. On average, males have larger hearts, 10 percent higher red blood cell count, higher hemoglobin, hence greater oxygen-carrying capacity. They also have higher circulating clotting factors (vitamin K, prothrombin and platelets). These differences lead to faster healing of wounds and higher peripheral pain tolerance.[70]

...males convert more into muscle and expendable circulating energy reserves. Aggregated data of absolute strength indicates that females have, on average, 40-60% the upper body strength of males, and 70-75% the lower body strength.[66]

It will not go away for all your wishful thinking.

"This is shrugged off and explained away by suggesting that maybe the male has more experience."

Considering men work longer hours, it's pretty damn likely he does.

"Employers look at men because they believe they have more stickability"

Which they do - men sacrifice everything for their careers. Until recently, that is - now there's a movement of dropping out of the rat race as being rigged against us - but when we do that, feminists castigate us as being adult-sized children. They want us in the old gender roles - they just don't want us to feel any pride or joy in it.

"they are less likely to have to pay out leave if that person has a child"

You mean, if a woman has a child. Not a lot of men get pregnant. And feminists fight against parental rights for men - so why should men fight to have kids? They don't have any connection to them except as a mouth to feed and bills to pay. Go, Tender Years Doctrine, and go, NOW - fighting tirelessly against father's rights everywhere.

" ‘Okay’ you say “but that’s true, men are less likely to be the ones taking time off to look after a newborn”"

They don't have a womb. I mean, I know you don't like to face the sexual dimorphism bit - but doesn't it kick in somewhere? Your movement is the one that coined "no uterus, no opinion".

Our reply? "No uterus, no obligation".

" Because the social expectation falls on the woman to take time out of her career"

You think a trained dog could do it instead? How the hell do you think someone else will do it? You think a man can lactate? That he has to recover after giving birth? None of that makes sense.

And that's not even counting female sexuality, which looks for men who earn money, not who are good baby daddies. if a man loses his job - he can expect a divorce pretty soon. When a woman loses her job? She can always be a homemaker, or just take some 'me-time' to 'empower' herself.

“Our finding that women are less likely to leave if husbands are employed is thus consistent with all these; we suspect it reflects both the bargaining/exchange and institutionalist processes.

That is, women leave more when men are not employed both because men aren’t providing an economic incentive for them to stay, and because it seriously violates norms of what a marriage is supposed to be when the man does not have a job.”

" A baby is just as much a product of the father as it is the mother"

It's YOUR bloody movement that argues otherwise, you really need to get your story straight.

"each gender is just as likely to have a kid"

Did we not talk about the womb before? Where's the fetus going to gestate, are you going to keep it in a box?

"Actually a male has a far higher potential rate for having newborns, because they aren’t too busy growing one for nine months to create another one with someone else"

Yes, if a male existed in a world where there weren't roughly equal numbers of men and women, and men had to pay child support or face prison, then that might be relevant.

Unless you are talking about your fan-fic of "Y: The Last Man", it's not exactly relevant however.

“ So okay, I’m not suggesting that the hourly rate differs enormously between males and females (but if you check the tables here you will see that overall men do have a better chance at a high income with fulltime males earning about $1 more/hour)”

And die at eleven times the rate in the workplace as compensation.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occupational_fatality#Risk_factors

The majority of occupational deaths occur among men. In one U.S. study, 93% of deaths on the job involved men,[4] with a death rate approximately 11 times higher than women. The industries with the highest death rates are mining, agriculture, forestry, fishing, and construction, all of which employ more men than women.[5]

We work longer hours, too. We deserve our bloody pay checks. If you think women are underpaid, there's nothing stopping you feminists pooling capital and starting feminist businesses where you pay women the incredibly high salaries you think they deserve. We antifeminists believe you will go broke unless propped up by state funding - and if you do that, then welcome to Communism, comrade!

" Society has etched into our brains certain gender roles"

You realise they have done primate experiments and found female apes are more likely to play with dolls? It's not society - it's biology.

" How is nothing wrong with that?"

Nothing is stopping women from doing the shitty, high risk work men are doing. Feminists don't want them. No call for quotas for women up power lines, no desire to join the ranks of men being killed on construction sites.

As an antifeminist, I would love to see you feminists actually work like men do.

Because then you would die - like men do.

And every time one of you dies, why, that would bring a little spark of happiness into our lives.

You realize that there is no gender pay gap crisis right? There will be a few instances where there is discrimination (still not a crisis) and those will, and have, been dealt with under the law. The same burden of proof when it comes to not hiring somebody on the base of race, or paying a black person less. So many economic factors come into play like the amount of experience one has, productive output, client networks. You don't get more or less just cause Feminism. Uh-uh. Not that simple.
