Why was the Power and Control Wheel created?
In 1984, staff at the Domestic Abuse Intervention Project (DAIP) began developing curricula for groups for men who batter and victims of domestic violence.
It is a frequent claim of feminism that it does not hate men, that it in fact works for men as well as women.
Know a movement by what it does, not what it says.
What does feminism do?
It focuses on men as villains and women as damsels in distress.
It completely erases lesbian domestic violence, despite it being more frequent. It erases male victims as irrelevant. It promotes the agenda that masculinity is toxic and femininity is martyred.
The CDC’s 2010 National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey, released again in 2013 with new analysis, reports in its first-ever study focusing on victimization by sexual orientation that the lifetime prevalence of rape, physical violence, or stalking by an intimate partner was 43.8 percent for lesbians, 61.1 percent for bisexual women, and 35 percent for heterosexual women, while it was 26 percent for gay men, 37.3 percent for bisexual men, and 29 percent for heterosexual men (this study did not include gender identity or expression).Going back to their document...

We wanted a way to describe battering for victims, offenders, practitioners in the criminal justice system and the general public.
If they genuinely wanted to do that, they would have gotten both sides of the story - they would have had to listen to the hated men, however. Of course, that was repugnant to them.
Over several months, we convened focus groups of women who had been battered.Men's voices were to be silenced. They could only contaminate the purity of their propaganda.
We listened to heart-wrenching stories of violence, terror and survival. After listening to these stories and asking questions, we documented the most common abusive behaviors or tactics that were used against these women. The tactics chosen for the wheel were those that were most universally experienced by battered women.They began with assumptions, then listened to anecdotes and found ways to turn those stories into something that confirmed their biases every time.
Of course, at some point, someone might have blinked - wondered why, if they really were working for everybody, they only seemed to be working for one side and against another...

Large epidemiological studies have demonstrated that domestic violence is most commonly reciprocal and that when only one partner is violent there is an excess of violent women.
Whitaker et al,2 in a study of 14 000 young US couples aged 18-28 years, found that 24% of relationships had some violence and half of those were reciprocally violent. In 70% of the non-reciprocally violent relationships women were the perpetrators of violence.
Reciprocal violence appears to be particularly dangerous, leading to the highest rate of injury (31.4%). This may be because reciprocal violence is more likely to escalate.
The International Dating Violence Study3 found that among students at 31 universities worldwide male and female students had similar rates of physically assaulting a partner (25% of men and 28% of women at the median university).
There was parity for perpetrating severe assaults
(used a knife or gun, punched or hit partner with something that could hurt, choked partner, slammed partner against a wall, beat up partner, burned or scalded partner on purpose, kicked partner) - 9% of male and female students at the median university.
For severe injury (passed out, required medical attention or broke a bone) the perpetration rate was higher for males (median rate 3.1% by men and 1.2% by women).A review of 62 empirical studies of female-perpetrated intimate partner violence4 found rates of physical violence of 4-79% among adolescent girls, 12-39% among female college students and 13-68% among adult women.
The researchers concluded that a significant proportion of females seeking help for victimisation are also perpetrators of intimate partner violence
and that those who treat battered women may need to consider addressing the perpetration of violence with their female clients. (source)

If you're a criminal defendant, it may help—a lot—to be a woman. At least, that's what Prof. Sonja Starr's research on federal criminal cases suggests.So feminists get you coming and going. They know the courts are biases against men - and use the result of that bias to justify further bias against men!
Prof. Starr's recent paper, "Estimating Gender Disparities in Federal Criminal Cases," looks closely at a large dataset of federal cases, and reveals some significant findings.
