Australian government announced company to control monopoly over medical cannabis research

http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/business/breaking-news/govt-grants-medlab-cannabis-licence/story-fni0xqe3-1227461276091

Oh, this is not looking good. And I have to wonder how much that company donated to their campaign fund.

http://blogs.lainformacion.com/zoomboomcrash/files/2015/06/corrupcion.jpg

"the company said it believed its patented particle delivery technology would mean smaller doses of cannabis would have to be used in patient care, resulting in less risk and fewer complications"

What risk? There have been zero overdoses recorded in the history of it's usage. Compare that to panadeine! And the patented delivery system sounds like they get t charge an arm and a leg to use something that costs almost nothing to make.

I recall reading Sativex (a cannabis extract) costs $10, 000/month for the users - they are taking something that a terminally ill person could grow themselves, and telling them they can have it to relieve their pain - but they better sell the house first...

http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/05/20/article-2327262-19DEFA8A000005DC-861_634x384.jpg

"About 30 adults will participate in the first of three trials testing whether medicinal cannabis alleviates symptoms and pain for terminally ill patients and chronic sufferers."

http://www.chicagophc.com/yahoo_site_admin/assets/images/Pain-Cycle.7693116_std.gif

The United States has tens of thousands of users who have been evaluated in such trials, which is why it was approved there. Why the hell would 30 here be needed?

This is for show; this is about control and the 'santisation' of cannabis, not about patient care.

Example of the American data:

"Eighteen trials published between 2003 and 2010 involving a total of 766 completed participants met inclusion criteria" (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3243008/)

There's no comparison. Of that thirty, maybe half will get through to the end. This is "Yes, Minister" stuff, not scientific research!

Free drawing programs

From http://giovannuzza.tumblr.com/

*= available for both windows and mac os
GIMP * - Does a lot of the same stuff as Photoshop.
FireAlpaca * - Similar to Paint Tool Sai, so it’s a good alternative for Mac users.
Autodesk Sketchbook Copic Edition * - Simulates the look of copic markers.
MyPaint * - Basic stuff, nothing fancy.
Pinta * - Drawing program modeled after paint.NET.
Inkscape * - Vector/drawing program meant to be similar to Illustrator.
ArtRage * - Digital painting program; you can get the trimmed down version for free or buy the full version with more features.
Sumo Paint * - In-browser drawing app.
DAZ Studio * - Some sort of 3D model poser thing.
Pencil * - Software for animating.
SketchUp * - Tool for making 3D models. Looks handy for stuff like architectural drawings.
Blender * - Pretty popular 3D software.
escape motions * - Some browser apps, fun to fiddle with when you’re bored (the fluid fire simulation is pretty cool imo).
Twistedbrush (Pixarra) - Seems to be meant for replicating the look of traditional media.
Pixia/Phierha - A popular program in Japan, according to the website.
Krita - This was originally made for Linux and it looks like the developers haven’t ironed out all of the kinks in the Windows installer.
Artweaver - Another trimmed down free thing if you don’t want to buy the full program.
paint.NET - Pretty basic kit, probably good for simple stuff.
Project Dogwaffle - I’m not sure what this one is all about because I couldn’t stop laughing at the terrible website.
Speedy Painter - Lightweight digital painting program.
mtPaint - Originally made for pixel art; simple enough to run on older computers.
Chasys Draw IES - Supposed to be some sort of drawing+image editor thing.
PaintRibbon - Seems to be another plain old basic image editor.
DrawPlus - Looks like it’s made for graphic design and vector stuff.
SmoothDraw - I’m guessing this is a basic thing for people who don’t want to bother with complicated stuff.

Kristen Stewart struggles against the opression of making so much money...

"the "girl prison" of misogyny"

Uh huh. The hatred against women... the same hate that means she's hired over and over for incredibly well paid jobs.

Wow, nice prison. How do I get in?

"the unreasonable demands made of women"

Yah, working is harrrrrrrd.

" the straightjacket of these expectations"

Good grief. This is like that emo poetry self-obsessed kids write, about how terribly mean their parents are when they give them a new car but it doesn't have the right brand name. How can she live with that suffering?

"after years of being chastised for looking sullen on the red carpet"

Yup. You are there to sell the movies and make the investors money. That's it. You can't smile? Some actor you are!

"having a complex personal life"

Is that what we are calling it? She cheats on her partners. She's a slut. Oh right - cheating on a man totally doesn't count, it's 'empowering', but if he does it, why, the wrath of feminism shall be rained upon him...

"It was a really traumatic period in my early 20s that kick-started something in me that was a bit more...feral,"

She says, pointing  to her body piercing as if that was proof she'd done something dangerous. Meanwhile, the men who had fought in wars just wish they could get the metal shards out of their bodies.

" Is your main goal in life to be desired?"

Depends if you are selling movies. Are you trying to sell movies? Because if you're not - good for you. Hollywood needs you to stand up and tell them you won't make them money. Then they'll replace you with the next starlet and we'll read about you when you die and think "wasn't she in... you know... that movie... i think it had apes or something?"

Amanda Marcotte, you lying sack of shit.

You claim false rape allegations are as rare as zombie bites?
http://guardianlv.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Zombie-Walk-e1406498671389.jpg

The Police have prosecuted people for false allegations.
Which you claim cannot possibly exist. Surely you should drop everything and rush to the aid of these poor damsels in distress?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_accusation_of_rape

Hmm. Studies show it ranging from 2-90%. The true number is unknowable - except that it isn't zero, now, is it?

Still, quoting Manboobz as your source means you aren't terribly serious about facts.

I love the way you see a recording of sexual encounters as being a way of enabling rape - so even if a man has a recording of an encounter with a woman going "I want sex" every thirty seconds, you'll turn around and have that man charged as a rapist?

Yup. That's the sort of world you want us to live in.

, you are the biggest recruiting tool we could wish for.

Feminists arrange Domestic Violence laws to suit their propaganda

“This is the Big Lie of feminist propaganda. The data shows that domestic violence in Australia is heavily concentrated in Aboriginal and other underclass communities.”

I’ve been saying this for a while now. There was The Intervention because domestic violence in a few communities is so freakishly high.

When Australian feminists quote that 10 women die every second from their partners (or whatever number they feel like making up on the day), they never mention that it’s almost entirely in indigenous communities and has nothing to do with mainstream Australia (and the violence is reciprocated, but they don’t care if it’s male brains being splattered, now, do they!)

Feminists hate men - how dare you say we hate men!

Elyse Anders says

"I am tired of men
I am tired of men I am tired of men I am tired of men I am tired of men I am tired of men I am tired of men I am tired of men I am tired of men I am tired of men I am tired of men I am tired of men I am tired of men I am tired of men "

Yah, sweetie, we get it.

"I am tired of men."

No-one's making you live with us. Get together with your fellow man-haters and live on an island. Nothing's stopping you except your own laziness... and the fact you benefit from men. You hate us - we are your 'niggers' - but you need us to do all the dirty and dangerous work so you don't have to - and in your Femtopia, it'd be you who'd have to work up power lines or down in mines.

You'd be in the sewage, or high on construction, or sucking in cancer causing chemicals, because men do all that because we have to, and without us, guess who has to step up?

Which is why you'll never do anything except bitch.

Why does Feminism fight against the protection of rape victims?

https://archive.is/wJZCG archived from http://nnedv.org/about/staff/89-kgandy.html 3 Jul 2015 22:03:43 UTC

Kim A. Gandy currently serves as the president and CEO of the National Network to End Domestic Violence.... she led their successful campaign to modernize the FBI Uniform Crime Report definition of rape... She spent 22 years as a top leader of the National Organization for Women (NOW), first as national secretary, then executive vice president and finally, president.
https://archive.is/XRbUI archived from https://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/crime-in-the-u.s/2013/crime-in-the-u.s.-2013/violent-crime/rape 3 Jul 2015 22:10:12 UTC

The revised UCR definition of rape is:

Penetration, no matter how slight, of the vagina or anus with any body part or object, or oral penetration by a sex organ of another person, without the consent of the victim.

So we have a direct example of Feminism deciding what the laws of the land should be - and deliberately designing them to protect female rapists from prosecution.

You don't have to penetrate someone to rape them.

All you have to do is have sex with them without their consent. That's it. That might mean mounting them or going down on them as they sleep, or drugging them, or threatening them. It might be a female prisoner raping her cellmate or a man giving oral to another man passed out on drugs at a party.

Feminists KNOW this. They know lesbians can rape, and do rape - and are quite willing to throw the victims of lesbian rape under a bus if it helps protect the image of women as being saintly martyrs of male sexual violence.

To admit that women can be just as brutal as men - they just lack raw physical strength - is something they will never do.

The Duluth Model is that violence is a result of masculinity; it's a pillar of modern feminism. The idea of looking at men and women as equals is simply anathema to them.

Men who kill themselves... deserve it?

https://archive.is/Pl6FJ

Saved from webpage capture, 2 Jul 2015 06:08:05 UTC

That young men succeed in suicide more often than girls isn't really the point. Indeed, the more callous among us would say that it was quite nice for young men finally to find something that they're better at than girls
Her son later committed suicide.

Her final word on the topic?

The last time I suggested that suicides should be left to get on with it, I received a small number of letters from people whose sons had killed themselves. All of them demanded an apology. I'd advise them this time to save their stamps because, you see, I don't care.
Spoken like a true feminist.

Sexual offence law overhaul to remove the presumption of innocence

Under the changes to sexual offence laws: (archived 1 Jul 2015 07:36:44 UTC from http://www.theage.com.au/victoria/sexual-offence-law-overhaul-to-address-victim-injustices-20150629-gi0m15.html)
  • An alleged offender must have a "reasonable" belief that a victim had consented. The new definition means the defendant must detail the steps they have taken to find out whether the victim has consented.

Note: They have no defined standard here for innocence. They have to present what they have and hope it is enough. Do you record all your sexual activity? Is it signed? Are there witnesses to the signing? What about blood tests - she might have been drinking - can you prove she wasn’t? If she was, her consent is invalid. You just should have known.
  • Removal of a time limitation that prevented prosecution for some child sex offences committed before 1991

It’s retrospective. You kept all your records of what happened thirty years ago, didn’t you? Remember: no physical evidence of a crime is required. If a woman says “give me thirty grand or I’ll say you raped me”... you better have that thirty K!

"an offender must prove that if they believed a victim was consenting, that belief was not unreasonable". How? Will video recordings and witnesses be required? Some sort of contract? All this is is a license to accuse any man of rape, without a defense.. and I guarantee you no women will be convicted.
