The Blurred Lines of Feminist Double Standards

So, there’s a post asking women who are offended by Blurred Lines to reblog it. It started at about 190 notes when I first saw it in my first class. By the next class it reached over 70,000 notes. Damn. The men’s version only has around 1,000 notes.

Anyways, this got me to thinking. Obviously women are more offended by songs about women. But were there going to be people getting mad that more men weren’t offended? I thought to myself for a while and realized that there are a lot of songs I enjoy that involve men being killed, stalked or beaten.

So, I have to ask, if Blurred Lines is offensive, what about these songs?
