It's interesting that before Feminism became the dominant strain of intellectual thought, it was NOT defined as having anything to do with equality; it lobbied for women, why should it lobby for men, any more than a mining lobby lobbied for the rights of agricultural workers?
Now Feminists use the argument that since the current dictionaries use a definition they like ("Feminism stands for equality!" ), that that is 'proof' that Feminism stands for equality, and we should ignore the megatons of books by Feminists on why men are inferior scum, to be exterminated when the revolution comes.
Well, as George Orwell pointed out, totalitarian regimes control the people by controlling their thoughts, and they can do that if they control the language.

Why, Feminists do, of course. Consider what happened when the Feminist Prime Minister Julia Gillard misused the word 'misogyny'. It's meaning was changed in the Australian official dictionary to match her usage.
So Feminists write a dictionary which has a definition of Feminism as being cupcakes and rainbows. Are you against cupcakes and rainbows, citizen? Are you in need of a RE-EDUCATION?

False – There was a female doctor called Elizabeth Blackwell. A doctor being a highly educated career. She held this position in 1850. 100 years BEFORE feminism.

False In 1674, the women of London created a petition against coffee houses because their men were socialising in them. And apparently the coffee was making men less interested in sex which these women didn't seem happy about. They presented their petition to the king at the time and in the following year the coffee houses were closed down. Again, all of this BEFORE feminism.

Claim - Without feminism, women wouldn't be allowed the vote?
False – In the UK men were granted the right to vote in honour of their contribution to the war effort, or to be blunt, because they were being sent away to risk their lives. At the same time, women who contributed to society also had the right to vote. Suffragettes only sought the right to vote for upper middle class women, and later, all women.
They did not demand that they have the right with equality to men though. After all, they weren't offering themselves up to fight in trench warfare.

In the US, it is a fairly similar story. As it is pretty much everywhere where there is universal suffrage.
Claim – Feminism had anything to do with any of these things anyway
False – Feminism as an ideology didn't show up until the 1960's. They took the political activities and actions of suffragettes and women's rights activists and declared them as being their own. And they bullied and harassed other women in to accepting their leadership. What is known as second wave feminism is in fact first wave feminism.
What is known as first wave feminism was not feminism at all, it was a whole bunch of separate groups of women fighting different battles in the name of women. Feminism, from its inception in the 60's was highly focused on man hatred.
They didn't gain much traction until they hijacked an issue that one Erin Pizzey brought to the attention of the public. That issue was of domestic violence, she won awards for her work and started up the first women's shelter. Feminists intruded and associated themselves in Erin's work.
And when Erin Pizzey tried to address that men had problems and that women could be bad, feminists bullied and harassed her. And made legitimate threats to her life, legitimate enough that she had to flee the country for 15 years. And with feminists yet again hijacking the work for women from another woman, they used the issue of domestic violence to get funding from the government.
They then re-marketed themselves as being about “Equality” to clean up their public image. Their marketing campaigns being funded by the money generated from government grants. A worrying proportion of funds didn't actually go to helping women.
They use bullying, harassment and emotional manipulation to silence everyone that won't adopt the label. They act like a controlling partner or parent in an abusive manner. “Without me you'd be weak, you'd be powerless, you'd be nothing!”, “It's not my fault it yours! You're just too stupid to understand!”, “I know I was mean, but that's not the “real” me! I only want what's best for us!”.
Feminism convinces you that unless you're a feminist, you're an evil person. Feminism is the divine and only those who follow feminism are free, and any who don't follow? Those are sinning, woman hating, uneducated savages. And when you ask them to prove exactly why or how they are so special, their response is, “Well, it's obvious and we don't have to prove ourselves to people clearly not educated enough to understand!
And then they continue to use the bullying tactics. It's like when a mother turns on the water works and makes you feel guilt and shame because you won't do as you're told. Except, with feminists, they use the the water works (victimhood) But they also use aggression and violence.
Feminism has always been what it is today, but as of late they are being more obvious about it. That is what complacency does for you. Suffragettes and women's rights activists were not feminists. Stop claiming that they are the same. You have just hijacked others efforts and claimed them as your own and I have looked at feminist history and women's rights history in depth.
So feminists, please don't have the audacity to tell anyone that they need to educate themselves about feminism. The insinuation that others should educate themselves is laughable when it comes from one claiming the label of feminist.

The Real Goals of Men’s Rights Activists

- Bring infant circumcision to an end, as it is genital mutilation.
- Bring an end to the school system that is biased in favour of girls. (1-5)
- Allow female rapists to be convicted, since they can presently only be charged with lesser charges if they forcefully envelope. (6)
- Put an end to false rape accusations, put and end to the idea that accused = guilty, (7, 8) and bring to light that false rape accusations can ruin men’s lives permanently and indefinitely. Examples (9 -11)
- Put an end to the idea that women are the “great majority” of rape victims. (12-14)
- Put an end to the idea that women are the “great majority” of domestic violence victims. (22,23)
- Put an end to the false wage gap. (15-21)
- Put an end to debt slavery. (24)
- Bring to light that men get longer sentences for the same crime (25) and that female sex offenders get shorter sentences than their male counterparts. (26)
- Bring to light that men and boys are being trafficked as well. (27,28)

Why do people compare Feminism to... Nazism?!!

We’re talking about the kangaroo courts set up by Title IX at the behest of Feminists that allows “people” (read: men) on college campuses to be tried and convicted of sexual assault using the lowest standard of evidence.

How does this campus tribunal proceed to evaluate the accusations? Upon what evidence is it able to make a judgment?This is what happens with Feminists in power. Nazi Germany didn’t begin with the ovens.
The frightening answer is that like the proverbial 800-pound gorilla, the tribunal does pretty much whatever it wants, showing scant regard for fundamental fairness, due process of law, and the well-established rules and procedures that have evolved under the Constitution for citizens’ protection.
Who knew that American college students are required to surrender the Bill of Rights at the campus gates?
My son was given written notice of the charges against him, in the form of a letter from the campus Title IX officer. But instead of affording him the right to be fully informed, the separately listed allegations were a barrage of vague statements, rendering any defense virtually impossible. The letter lacked even the most basic information about the acts alleged to have happened years before. Nor were the allegations supported by any evidence other than the word of the ex-girlfriend.
The hearing itself was a two-hour ordeal of unabated grilling by the school’s committee, during which, my son later reported, he was expressly denied his request to be represented by counsel or even to have an attorney outside the door of the room. The questioning, he said, ran far afield even from the vaguely stated allegations contained in the so-called notice. Questions from the distant past, even about unrelated matters, were flung at him with no opportunity for him to give thoughtful answers.
The many pages of written documentation that my son had put together—which were directly on point about his relationship with his accuser during the time period of his alleged wrongful conduct—were dismissed as somehow not relevant.
What was relevant, however, according to the committee, was the unsworn testimony of “witnesses” deemed to have observable knowledge about the long-ago relationship between my son and his accuser.
It began with dehumanization. Something your movement pushes for at every opportunity.
Just look at the way you and yours talk about everything even vaguely related to men. You have absolute contempt for me. You don’t view me as an equal. You never will. I could offer you everything you’ve ever asked for and it wouldn’t be enough for you. I could give every concession and it wouldn’t be enough.
I could let you sheer off a pound of flesh and you’d ask for another. Because that’s how hate based movements operate. They don’t stop. They can’t stop. They aren’t fueled by a desire for a better life. Or equality. Or justice. Or hope.
They’re fueled by hate… and if I denied you anything you’d just use that to justify your hatred… and if I gave you anything you’d claim that I was showing weakness and now was the time, once and for all, to put the knife to my throat.
Because that’s how movements like yours have always operated. It hasn’t changed.
So when I describe you in the same breath as one does Nazi Germany it’s because you have the same mentality.
Do you think curtailing my rights would be enough? Denying me support would be enough? Putting me in prison under the thinnest of pretenses? Would that be enough?
No, of course not. And we both know it.

Not only is it from a study done in 1994, but 73% of the women they labeled as “rape victims” didn’t believe they had been raped, and about 40% of them went on to date their “rapist” after the fact.
So, if we don’t count the 73%, that brings the number down to 1 in 16. Still not great, but again, it’s from 20 years ago. Now lets factor in that, since 1994, rape has gone down by 80%.
That means that at the MOST, the rape rate of women is 1 in 80, which comes out to 1,875,000 college-aged women who have been raped (in the US).
Even if you restrict this to being just women who are 18-25 (about college age), that is *still* not 1 in 4, as there were approximately 20+ million women between the ages of 18 and 25 in 2000.
So, simply as a matter of fact, the 1 in 4 statistic is a lie. Anyone who uses it is simply spreading rape hysteria and propaganda.

If you look under the college rape section you will see the following:

The section labelled “rape statistics” is unsourced, but it says that 89,000 rape are reported each year.
So lets see what it takes to get to “1 in 4”.
Lets go with 156 million women (about half the US population), and divide that by 4. That gives us 39 million.
Now lets divide that by the rape rate of 89,000. That comes out to approximately 438. That means, at a rate of 89,000 rapes a year, it would take 438 years worth of rapes to get “1 in 4”.
But then there’s that “60% of rapes are never reported” statistic. So lets factor that in.
Multiply the 89,000 by 2.5 (1/.4 = 2.5) and we get 225,000.
Now lets divide the 39 million by that again. We get 173.
So, even factoring in the 60% unreported rape, it would still take nearly 200 years worth of rapes to get to “1 in 4”.
But then there’s that “95% of college rapes are never reported to authorities” statistic, so lets do more math.
Multiply 89,000 by 20, and you get 1.78 million. Now divide 39 million by that and you get 22.
That’s a much more reasonable number. However, I have never once seen the 95% unreported statistic before, and since it is completely unsourced, I’m skeptical as to its legitimacy.
Even more unnerving, is the fact that Mary Koss was involved in the report you linked. In another report done by Mary Koss, she wrote that “It is inappropriate to consider as a rape victim a man who engages in unwanted sexual intercourse with a woman.”
So do keep in mind that one of the sources for your link, is a very blatant rape apologist as well as a Feminist, giving your sources several forms of inherent bias.
